Plan Description
This plan combines the results of studies investigating the effect of HIT training on maintaining performance during the offseason and strength training to improve your endurance performance. For most triathletes, offseason starts around November and December before Base Training begins in January. Offseason is not the time for crazy numbers and instead used to lay a solid foundation, both physically and mentally. This plan is also well-suited for triathletes coming off a longer break or injury to rebuild their baseline fitness. Additionally, this plan works well for most distances, including olympic, half-, and full-distance triathletes.
