GOPEAKS • HALF MARATHON
21.1 km. A clear plan for every week.
12 weeks • 4 runs/week • English • Structured pace workouts

Is this right for you?
You already run 3–4 times/week, have trained consistently for at least 6–8 weeks, average around 20–30 km/week and can run easily for 60 continuous minutes. This plan assumes an existing running foundation.
What you get
- 48 structured runs: 47 time-based workouts plus a distance-based 21.1 km race.
- Easy runs, long runs, tempo, progressive threshold sets, one 5 × 2-minute VO2 session and half-marathon-effort workouts.
- 16 English guidance notes: 12 weekly briefings, getting started, understanding metrics, adapting your week and a race checklist.
- English descriptions and interval names, with warm-ups, recoveries, cool-downs and effort-based adjustments.
- Recovery weeks in weeks 4 and 8; reduced volume in weeks 11–12. Long runs build from 65 to a maximum of 120 minutes.
Time you will need
Weeks 1–11: 2 hr 35 min to 4 hr 40 min/week. Race week: 70 minutes of short training sessions plus your 21.1 km race; finish time is individual. Default runs: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Rest or move gently on other days. Move sessions using the plan's recovery guidance.
Get started
- Apply the plan with your race on the final Sunday of week 12.
- Read START HERE and set Run Pace threshold from your current ability.
- Open each workout before training. Sync to a compatible device where supported; availability depends on your device.
- Use perceived effort alongside pace, especially in heat, on hills or when tired. Record how each run feels.
Threshold percentages are guidance, not a finish-time guarantee. TSS and IF are estimates, not numbers to chase. The race may have no duration, TSS or IF in the library without suitable individual data.
Equipment and support
Familiar running shoes, a watch/GPS if available, fluids and practised fuelling for long runs. This self-guided plan does not include TrainingPeaks Premium or ongoing 1:1 monitoring and personal adjustment.
