Understanding the Cyclist's Needs
Before we dive into the program, it's crucial to recognize the specific demands of cycling:
Lower body dominance: Cyclists primarily use their legs, core, and upper back.
Power-to-weight ratio: Strength gains should focus on improving power and explosiveness, while maintaining a low body weight.
Core stability: A strong core is essential for efficient power transfer and injury prevention.
Injury prevention: Targeting specific muscle groups to prevent common cycling injuries like lower back pain and knee problems.
This 8-week program focuses on building strength, power, and core stability, while addressing common cyclist imbalances. It's designed to be performed 3 days per week, allowing ample recovery for cycling training.
Note: Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new workout regimen.
Due to the nature of the program being conducted online without visual oversight. No responsibility is taken by the author of this program if an injury occurs as a result of conducting this program. The athlete understands this risk, and only conducts the program at their own risk.
