Plan Description
This training program is for experienced open water or pool swimmers targeting marathon swim events. It differs to my other program which is the 12-week marathon swim program as it is more centred on open water and less on pool work.
So, if you a swimmer that wants to test their limits or are not timid when it comes to swimming with 'life aquatic' and you are comfortable with being at 'one' with your MIND. This is the program for you. There will be a lot of time with your head under the water over the 12 weeks of the program, so you need to be comfortable with your own company.
While the majority of this program in open water the first 4 weeks are still a little pool based before the final 8 weeks moves to testing your limits in the wilds of the open ocean.
If you wish to undertake this training program, I suggest that you have been comfortable swimming 10 to 15km per week in training for the last 4 to 6 weeks.
The program has been written and designed by a 6 times long distant triathlete, 2-time Ultraman athlete. The author also runs a coaching business for multisport athletes and will open places for any athlete who want to be coached by an experienced Ultraman finisher.
