Bend's multisport high-desert festival
Near Bend, Oregon, the gravel course follows exposed high-desert roads over volcanic soil and cinder. It belongs to a multi-discipline festival with separate mountain bike and trail-running events; singletrack is part of the mountain bike course, not the gravel route.
The Masters plan uses 7–11 hours a week across twelve weeks, spacing demanding sessions so the work can settle before the next important day. Controlled climbing leads into deliberate descending, with recovery, posture, relaxed hands, and sound choices treated as parts of Bend-specific preparation.
INSIDE THE MASTERS 50+ PLAN — 7–11 HR/WK
Includes zone-tailored structured rides for your devices, built-in strength with video walkthroughs, heat protocols for when your race calls for them, peloton skills workouts, weekly coach notes + the Gravel Grit mental program, nutrition and hydration guidance, and recovery-first Masters 50+ structuring.

The Complete Bend Dirt Fest Guide — the training, the tactics, the gear and race day, explained simply and clearly: what to do, when to do it, and why it works.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
