BWR's red-rock high-desert course
From Cedar City, the Waffle runs across high-desert red-rock gravel, mixing steep, technical grades with flat-to-rolling stretches between climbs. The start sits near 5,800 feet, and desert heat adds to the strain.
For riders balancing training with a full schedule, this twelve-week plan makes four to six hours a week count. Short, specific climbing sessions, strength work, and loose-ground practice target BWR Utah's repeating grades and technical terrain, while the longer build gives those gains time to settle before the high-desert heat.
INSIDE THE TIME-CRUNCHED PLAN — 4–6 HR/WK
Includes zone-tailored structured rides for your devices, built-in strength with video walkthroughs, heat-training protocols for racing in the hot stuff, peloton skills workouts, weekly coach notes + the Gravel Grit mental program, nutrition and hydration guidance, and an altitude module.

The Complete BWR Utah Guide — the training, the tactics, the gear and race day, explained simply and clearly: what to do, when to do it, and why it works.

Hey! I'm Matti - also known as the Gravel God himself!
If you're into gravel racing and want to be as fast as possible, you had better choose me!
Why?
Because I'm the fastest, least talented person to ever ride a bike. I've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to and I'm here to save you years of failure and struggle.
When I'm not helping my athletes get faster on a bike I write obvious, overlooked training content that makes cycling training easy to understand.
