Who this plan is for
- ✅ You already train with power (smart trainer and/or power meter) and your FTP has flatlined on shorter blocks
- ✅ You can ride 4 days a week, 6 to 11 hours on the biggest weeks
- ✅ You are building toward a gran fondo, a race season or a serious FTP target - not just staying fit
- 👉 New to structured power training? Start with the 8-week version instead.
Plan details
- 👉 Method: polarized 80/20 (80% low intensity, 20% high intensity) - the same methodology we use with our 1-1 coached athletes
- 👉 16 weeks = two complete build cycles, with 1 recovery week every 3 building weeks
- 👉 4 rides per week - average week around 8:30, longest ride 5:00
- 👉 Power based: every session syncs to your head unit or smart trainer as a structured workout
- 👉 Testing session in week 1 and re-testing mid-plan - your zones update as you get faster, so the second cycle pushes as hard as the first
- ♻️ Re-usable: apply the plan again free, unlimited times. It never gets easier, you get faster
