Plan Description
The goals of the base building phase are to build/improve technique in all three sports, to establish a good general fitness level, and to get in a routine of following a training schedule. This phase will build a foundation for us to build higher volume and intensity later on and keep your risk of injury down. Your workouts throughout the week will be roughly the same distance/duration. The intensity level in your workouts will be almost entirely at zone 2/conversational pace/comfortable.
Anytime you have two workouts on the same day, the workouts can be done separately or combined into one brick workout.
It's assumed that you are riding an indoor trainer for your bike workouts. If that's not the case, feel free to drop the drills and just ride the same duration outside.
