Plan Description


Written by IRONMAN Certified and British Triathlon Level 3 Coach in training Simon Olney (https://phazontriathlon.com/home/meet-the-team/), this plan is designed for use by experienced triathletes during the Covi-19 lockdown experienced in many countries, this plan assumes you have access to a turbo trainer with a Zwift subscription and the ability to run. It also assumes you have already established thresholds, if you don't know your threshold power or running speed you'll need to perform these tests before beginning the plan.


For your bike threshold I recommend a Zwift ramp test, and for running a fast 5K, for which you can use a recent (within 6 weeks) race result. Head to the zones section of your settings in TrainingPeaks to input these, it will talk you through how to convert your 5K time into threshold speed when you select the time/distance option.


The plan includes exercises involving swim cords for those lucky enough to have got hold of a pair, but this work is optional.
