Plan Description
This 16 week plan is for a beginning triathlete looking to complete a sprint triathlon. It begins with short run intervals, easy biking, and easy swimming. This plan will progress you gradually to the sprint triathlon distance if you don't have experience with triathlon or are not currently in shape for the distance. It gives you notes throughout the plan to help guide you and give more details/education on the types of workouts, phases of the plan, and sports nutrition. All workouts are based on your rating of perceived exertion (RPE) to help you gauge how hard you should be working. Most workouts are low intensity. There are recommended strength workouts, brick workouts to help you work on your transitions and two practice triathlons to help you prepare.
