It is ideal for athletes who have already established a fitness base and want to remain race-ready without the demands of a full build phase.
Whether you are coming off a race season, preparing for a future goal event, or simply looking to maintain your current fitness level, this plan provides a structured and sustainable approach to training.

Requirements
To start this plan, you should have:
• Previous experience with structured triathlon training
• The ability to swim continuously for at least 1,000 meters
• The ability to ride comfortably for 90–120 minutes
• The ability to run continuously for 45–60 minutes
• A consistent training routine across swim, bike, and run disciplines
A GPS watch, heart rate monitor, and a bike power meter are recommended for best results.
Final Note
Maintaining fitness is often more effective than repeatedly rebuilding it. This 20-week maintenance plan is designed to help you preserve your aerobic foundation, maintain training consistency, and stay prepared for future performance-focused training.
