Plan Description
Do you want to include strength training but have no idea where to start? This 12 week training plan is designed for triathletes who are new to strength work and want to include in their programme, but are new to the gym.
This plan focuses on exercises associated with injury reduction, addressing muscles which tend to be associated with injury in triathletes such as our glutes, hamstrings and calves. However I cannot provide any guarantees about its effectiveness as injury is a complex subject, with even the top athletes in the world working closely with the best physios and strength coaches getting injured.
To execute this plan you will need access to a gym with a selection of dumbbells, squat rack and a cable machine. Each workout should take no more than 45 minutes
Also included in this plan is guidance on progressing workouts, coaching points and video demonstrations of each exercise.
