THIS 16 WEEK PLAN
Is a HIGH PERFORMANCE bike only plan for female only OLYMPIC DISTANCE athletes. It combines perfectly with racestronger®CUSTOM swim and/or run plan modules whose individual ability you choose to create a bespoke programme that trains to your individual strengths in each discipline. CRITICAL POWER (CP), POWER Weekdays | Weekends
ABILITY
'HIGH PERFORMANCE' means you are an outstanding triathlete biker, regularly placing highly in TT's and top of your AG bike wave / overall standings on a good day. It's likely that you intend to qualify for AG World/European/National Champs or have already. Read likely male/open splits in Training Plan Sample Week 'Welcome...' below
CONTENT
Av 4hrs over 3 workouts/week. Peak 5hrs
Fresh, different, highly rated and current. Many sessions pro derived. We follow Norwegian training methods and with 16 weeks to go, expect high intensity from the start. Plan identical to ‘PODIUM’ with its 2 challenging weekday sessions, but we swap in 7 extremely taxing Critical Power workouts for which you must be VERY committed, under 40 and with no heart issues. Weekends use' wrap and fill' sessions – longer easy rides mixed with harder race intervals. Pre race-day you benchmark your run-off with a series of bike simulations at different intensities. Plan includes 1-week taper, athlete-selected S&C, workout alternates, flexible race week schedule plus FREE bonus
