This 6-week Full Distance Beginner plan by GA Endurance is designed as a final taper and race-readiness phase.

It is ideal for athletes who already have a strong endurance base and need a structured approach to reduce fatigue while maintaining performance.

If you are looking for a short and highly focused race-preparation block, this plan provides a clear and effective solution.


What You Can Expect

• A 6-week race-preparation and taper phase

• Progressive reduction in training volume

• Maintenance of race-specific intensity

• Focus on freshness and readiness

• Short race-pace efforts to maintain sharpness

• Reduced but precise long sessions

• Structured taper for optimal race performance

• Clear, easy-to-follow workouts using power, pace, heart rate, or perceived effort

Requirements

To begin this plan, you should be able to:

• Swim at least 3,000–4,000 meters continuously

• Ride comfortably for 5–6 hours

• Run continuously for 90+ minutes

• Train consistently 5–6 days per week

• Have strong endurance training experience

For best results, the use of a GPS watch, heart rate monitor, and bike power meter is strongly recommended.
