Experience the thrill of racing Vietnam’s most spectacular coastal course fully prepared with the 44-Week Long Distance Triathlon Beginner Training Plan — expertly structured to help you thrive in the tropical conditions, rolling terrain, and scenic intensity of Da Nang.
From the warm 84 °F (29 °C) waters of Bien Dong Park to the 180 km windswept coastal ride and the four-loop seaside marathon, every element of this plan is designed to mirror the rhythm and demands of the Long Distance Triathlon Vietnam – Da Nang.
The first 12 weeks focus on aerobic base and form — swim drills enhance efficiency for the calm, salty waters; early bike sessions build strength for the smooth but fast coastal roads; and progressive long runs condition you for the heat and humidity of Da Nang’s beachfront loops.
From Weeks 13–44, the plan shifts toward specific endurance and race-simulation intensity. You’ll build toward 14 hours per week, integrating VO₂-interval sessions, brick workouts, and controlled pacing blocks that mimic the sustained efforts needed for the flat yet energy-sapping Vietnam course.
