The Long Distance Triathlon Vietnam – Da Nang course demands more than endurance — it rewards athletes who’ve trained with precision, balance, and race-specific conditioning. This 44-week Long Distance Triathlon training plan is purpose-built to prepare you for the intense heat, ocean swim, coastal winds, and flat yet fast run terrain unique to Da Nang.

🏊 Swim Preparation for Bien Dong Park
The 3.8 km open-water swim in Da Nang’s warm 84 °F (29 °C) waters requires technique, efficiency, and control. This plan integrates video-guided drills, endurance builds, and pacing work designed for saltwater and mild surf conditions — helping you sustain rhythm through both laps of the triangle-shaped course.

🚴 Bike Strength for Coastal Winds & Bridge Crossings
Across 180 km of stunning coastal and bridge terrain, crosswinds and humidity test every athlete. With over 185 hours of structured cycling, including power-based intervals, cadence control, and long-ride simulations, you’ll gain the strength and stamina to stay aero through Da Nang’s Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, and Thuan Phuoc bridge sections while maintaining energy for the second loop.

🏃 Run Endurance for the Coastal Four-Loop Finish
Da Nang’s flat, sun-exposed marathon along the beachfront rewards pacing discipline. This plan features 95 hours of progressive run training with heart-rate- and power-based sessions that teach you to manage effort under heat stress — ideal for the four 10.5 km loops that define your final challenge.

💪 Strength & Recovery Integration
Includes 96 guided strength sessions to enhance posture, injury resistance, and muscular endurance — crucial for handling transitions between the course’s contrasting environments: ocean, urban skyline, and rural rice fields.
