Prepare to experience one of Asia’s most breathtaking races — the Long Distance Triathlon in Da Nang, Vietnam. This 36-week Intermediate plan is engineered to help you master the heat, humidity, and coastal terrain that define this spectacular event. Every session is designed with purpose, building the endurance, strength, and resilience needed to thrive across Da Nang’s swim, bike, and run courses.

🌊 Open-Water Confidence:
The 12-week base phase develops swim endurance and technique for the warm 84°F (29°C) waters of Bien Dong Park. With targeted drills, pacing sets, and sighting practice, you’ll feel calm and controlled navigating the two-lap triangular swim course — no surprises, just smooth rhythm through rolling starts and ocean swells.

🚴‍♂️ Power for the Coastal Ride:
Da Nang’s 180 km bike course demands sustained power and precision pacing across long, flat coastal stretches and gentle bridges. The 24-week build phase introduces progressive power- and heart-rate-based intervals, steady-state tempo rides, and long endurance sessions that mirror the course’s fast seaside sections and steady crosswinds. Strength training and VO₂ work early on enhance durability and climbing efficiency for sections like Man Quang and Thuan Phuoc Bridges.

🏃‍♀️ Endurance for the Coastal Run:
The final phase prepares you for the four-loop 42.195 km beachfront run, emphasizing heat adaptation, race-day pacing, and energy management. Tempo runs, brick sessions, and interval workouts are structured to sustain rhythm over the 10.5 km loops while handling hydration and fueling efficiently at each aid station.
