With its flat, fast course and supportive atmosphere, Almere-Amsterdam offers the perfect setting to challenge yourself—and this 44-week plan will guide you every step of the way to get race-ready with confidence.
Starting with a focused 12-week base phase, you’ll build your endurance and develop strong swimming skills essential for the two laps in the calm Weerwater lake. The plan includes helpful swimming drills and clear instructional videos so you can improve your technique and feel comfortable in open water. As your confidence grows, you’ll increase your swim volume gradually—making the swim feel manageable, not overwhelming.
