The Competitive Masters 40+ Six-Month Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is designed to prepare you—both physically and mentally—for the demanding and rewarding race experience of the Full Distance Triathlon Taiwan. From the crystal-clear waters of Flowing Lake to the coastal roads of Highway 11 and the marathon paths of Taitung Forest Park, this plan gets you race-day ready with purpose-driven training.

✅ Swim Preparedness for Flowing Lake:
Tackle the 3.8 km, two-lap freshwater swim with confidence. Our plan integrates structured open water swim sessions, sighting drills, and technique-focused workouts to help you maintain form and efficiency in calm but long-course conditions.

✅ Bike Training Built for Taiwan’s Coastline:
You’ll build strength and stamina for the 180 km single-loop ride along Highway 11. Long endurance rides, threshold intervals, and targeted hill work prepare you for the rolling terrain and 1,200m elevation gain. You'll also develop strategies for wind and heat—two key challenges on race day.

✅ Run Strong in Taitung’s Humid Climate:
Train for the four-lap marathon with a blend of tempo runs, bricks, and pacing sessions designed to simulate the flat, humid, oceanfront terrain. With aid every 2 km on race day, the plan prepares you to hydrate and fuel efficiently under pressure.
