The Full Distance Triathlon in Valdivia, Chile is a course made for athletes who want to race strong and set personal records — especially senior triathletes 60+ looking for smart, sustainable progress. This 36-week evidence-based training plan is purpose-built to prepare you for every element of Valdivia’s demanding and beautiful course.

✅ Swim-Ready Confidence
The plan includes weekly open-water-focused sessions and drills that enhance swim efficiency, symmetry, and sighting — essential for navigating the 3.8km point-to-point Calle-Calle River swim with minimal current. Cooler water? Wetsuit training is built in to prepare you for the 14°C race conditions.

✅ Bike-Specific Power & Endurance
Ride workouts are tailored for Valdivia’s 180km rolling, two-loop countryside route. With sustained aerobic sessions and FTP-based intervals, you'll build the endurance and strength needed to handle both the flat, fast stretches and the short, steep hills near Cabo Blanco and Cruces River.
