The Full Distance Triathlon Arizona course is uniquely fast and scenic, but mastering it takes age-aware, strategic preparation—especially for senior athletes. This 44-week Full Distance Triathlon training plan is custom-built for triathletes aged 60+, giving you the endurance, strength, and race-day confidence you need to succeed on race day.

🌊 Swim – 2.4 Miles (Tempe Town Lake)
With its calm, single-loop layout and cool water (61°F), Tempe Town Lake offers an ideal swim setting. Our plan includes 166 swim sessions (60+ hours) with video-led drills and open-water skills to help you stay efficient and confident from the floating dock start to finish.

🚴 Bike – 112 Miles (3 Loops, Rolling Desert Terrain)
The fast, rolling terrain of the Beeline Highway—featuring a steady climb and 1400 ft elevation—demands aerobic depth and smart pacing. You’ll build resilience through 152 power-based bike sessions (185+ hours) focused on long endurance efforts and hill simulations, perfectly tuned for Arizona’s profile.

🏃 Run – 26.2 Miles (Flat, Spectator-Filled Loops)
The flat, PR-friendly run course around Tempe Town Lake and Papago Park is built for sustained effort. This plan prepares you with 122 run workouts (95+ hours) using heart rate and power-based intervals to train your body to handle heat, loops, and mental focus.
