Training for the Full Distance Triathlon Italy—with its ocean swim, scenic yet technical bike, and flat, fast run—requires a program that does more than just get you to the finish line. It needs to prepare your body and mind to race strategically, efficiently, and powerfully. This 36-week training plan was designed specifically for competitive Masters athletes (age 40+) who are ready to excel in Cervia’s world-class endurance challenge.

The Adriatic Sea’s 3.8 km swim demands calm, confident open-water technique. That’s why the first phase of this plan includes proprioceptive drills and stroke efficiency training—so you enter the water with purpose and exit the swim with energy to spare.

The two-loop, 180 km bike course through Romagna's countryside and the Salt Pans Nature Park includes climbs, descents, and sustained flats.
