Our 44-Week Full Distance Triathlon Beginner Training Plan is purpose-built for athletes like you—targeting every challenge you’ll face across Lake Thun, the demanding Swiss bike climbs, and the scenic flat run through the city.

This plan is more than just a schedule—it's your complete roadmap to race day success.

✅ Swim Prep for Lake Thun:
Start strong in the glacial waters of Lake Thun with structured swim workouts that refine technique, build endurance, and simulate open-water conditions. With a clear Australian exit between laps in the race, the plan incorporates swim sets that develop pacing and breath control for looped courses.

✅ Climb-Ready Bike Workouts:
Tackle Thun’s 2,000m of elevation gain with confidence. Our training includes long aerobic rides, climbing intervals, and technical descent practice—mirroring the varied terrain of the race’s rural Swiss countryside.

✅ Run the Shoreline Like a Pro:
The multi-loop flat run course requires consistent pacing and strong mental endurance. You’ll benefit from RPE- and HR-based run sessions, designed to optimize aerobic capacity and teach your body to thrive over 26.2 miles of varied surfaces.

✅ Build Gradually & Safely:
With a 12-week foundation phase followed by a 32-week progressive build, you'll safely ramp from 7.5 hours/week to 14 hours/week. Strategic “B” and “C” race options are included, helping you stay motivated and test your fitness ahead of Thun.
