If you're preparing for the Full Distance Triathlon in Tallinn, this six-month Competitive Masters 40+ Training Plan will get you race-day ready—physically, mentally, and technically.

Tallinn’s course is diverse: a calm lake swim, a rolling countryside bike, and a historic city marathon with cobblestones and flat terrain. This plan is built to match every element you’ll face.

✅ Lake Swim Readiness – With focused open-water swim sessions and structured drills, you’ll be prepared for Lake Harku’s 3.8 km loop. Weekly workouts improve pacing, sighting, and stroke efficiency—ideal for the calm but cool August conditions.

🚴 Bike Endurance + Power – The 180 km course features flats and long stretches through forest and coastal wind zones. Power-based intervals, long tempo rides, and race-specific brick sessions build the stamina and strength needed for those exposed segments.

🏃 Run Strong Off the Bike – The four-loop run course includes pavement and cobblestones through Tallinn’s Old Town. Your plan includes run workouts that mimic this terrain and teach your body to handle transitions—plus race-pace sessions to dial in your pacing strategy.

💪 Strength & Mobility for Masters – Designed specifically for athletes over 40, the plan incorporates strength training to protect joints, enhance core stability, and improve overall performance.
