Swim training focuses on sustained endurance with long intervals and technique work to match the demands of Waterloo Lake’s 3.8 km swim—two continuous laps with no exits. You’ll build comfort with long open-water efforts, reducing fatigue and improving stroke economy.
🚵 Matches the Leeds Bike Terrain
Leeds 180 km bike course features ~2,574 m of climbing over rolling terrain and three 55 km laps. This plan includes progressive long rides, intervals, and strength-endurance workouts to prepare you for the demands of climbs like Black Hill Road and repeated elevation shifts.
🏃 Builds Run Strength for Four Hilly Laps
The 42.2 km run features ~455 m of elevation, with four laps through Roundhay Park. You’ll train with brick workouts, run pacing strategies, and specific strength sessions to handle lap-based mental challenges and physical fatigue.
