From the crystal-clear 2.4-mile swim in Mirror Lake to the 112-mile ride through the hilly Adirondacks and the challenging 26.2-mile marathon along River Road, this event tests every aspect of your preparation. With nearly 8,000 feet of climbing on the bike and rolling hills on the run, training smart—not just hard—is essential.

This 24-week Full Distance Triathlon training plan, tailored specifically for athletes 60+, is engineered to prepare your body and mind for the unique demands of Lake Placid.
