This iconic race through the heart of Hamburg demands more than just determination—it requires precision, structure, and smart training tailored to the course.

Our 44-Week Competitive Masters Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is engineered for experienced athletes over 40 who want to excel on Hamburg’s flat and fast course—ideal for personal bests and strong finishes.

The 3.8 km swim through the scenic Inner and Outer Alster starts your race with calm, predictable waters. Our plan includes video-guided swim drills that sharpen your technique and pacing—so you enter T1 strong and confident.

The 179 km bike course is flat and fast, winding past iconic sites like the Reeperbahn and Speicherstadt before heading into open countryside. With 152 power-based rides, you’ll build the sustained speed and aerobic durability needed to handle both urban turns and long straightaways efficiently.

Finally, the 42.2 km run through Hamburg’s vibrant city center and along the Alster is where the race is won. You’ll train with intervals based on heart rate and power, preparing you to pace evenly across all four loops and finish strong under race-day pressure.
