Structured with evidence-based strategies and precision tools, it prepares you for the unique physical and environmental demands of this iconic course in Lake Taupō.

Swim (3.8 km):
A deep-water start in the crystal-clear, cool waters of Lake Taupō (19°C / 64°F) calls for confidence and technique. The clockwise loop includes long, steady sections and sighting challenges before a 385m run to transition.
Bike (180 km):
The two-lap ride showcases Taupō’s scenic countryside with gradual rollers and exposed flats. Efficient pacing, consistent power output, and handling skills are key on roads like Broadlands and Rifle Range.
Run (42.2 km):
The four-lap lakefront course to Rainbow Bay demands mental toughness and physical durability, especially with repeat passes through town and spectator zones.
