Most full-distance plans assume fifteen or more training hours a week.
15 weeks. Full distance triathlon. Built for first-timers and athletes returning after a break. Designed around limited weekly hours.
This one does not. It is built for athletes whose weeks are genuinely limited, without dropping the sessions that keep form and pacing together on race day.
How This Plan WorksSwim sessions use RPE and pace. Bike sessions are structured by heart rate, keeping effort honest regardless of how the legs feel on any given day. Run sessions use heart rate to regulate effort and keep the easy work genuinely easy.
The sessions that stay in are the ones that build durability and race-specific pacing. Long-ride and long-run work is still in the plan, scaled to what the week can hold. Strength work stays throughout. What gets cut is volume that existed to fill hours rather than serve a purpose.
Is This Plan For You?This plan is built for a particular kind of athlete.- Athletes taking on the distance for the first time, or returning after a break
- Athletes who want fitness built through a staged progression, with load increasing in planned steps each week
- Athletes working with limited weekly hours who still want the sessions that prepare them to race well
Before you start: you should be comfortable swimming 2,000m, riding 90 minutes and running 60 minutes. Not all on the same day.
What's Included- Email support from the coach who built the plan, for the duration of the plan
- 15-week self-guided training programme delivered through TrainingPeaks
- Structured workouts that sync to your Garmin, Wahoo, or compatible device
- Not the right fit? I will swap it for another plan, any time, no quibble
About the CoachI came to triathlon after an elite Tae-Kwon-Do career, national titles and a European silver among them. I knew how to train hard. What I found when I moved to triathlon was fifteen years of following proven plans, hiring expert coaches, and racing worse for it. I hit a wall. Not a physical one. An architectural one.
Sense Endurance Coaching was built to kill that cycle.
I'm Trisutto and 80/20 Endurance certified, and worked with Brett Sutton through his Coach the Coach programme.
That shaped how I build training: no junk miles, no grey zone, sessions built around the hours an athlete actually has rather than the idealised week that never happens in practice.
