Our 44-week Full Distance Triathlon training plan is designed specifically to guide first-time athletes from Day One to race day — with structure, clarity, and support every step of the way.
Here's how it prepares you for the Arizona course:
🏊♂️ Swim – 2.4 Miles (Tempe Town Lake)
You’ll start with calm, controlled water in Tempe Town Lake. Our swim workouts help you build endurance and improve technique gradually, with guidance on open water confidence and cool-water adaptation for the 61°F lake temps.
🚴 Bike – 112 Miles (Rolling, Fast, and Scenic)
Arizona’s bike course includes smooth roads and gradual climbs along the Beeline Highway. You’ll train with structured rides that build power, confidence, and pacing skills to handle the three-loop course — without feeling overwhelmed.
🏃 Run – 26.2 Miles (Flat and Supportive)
This flat, three-loop course along Tempe Town Lake and Papago Park is perfect for first-timers. You’ll build stamina through run/walk options, pacing by RPE and heart rate, and strategic long runs that prepare you for the final leg.
