Full Distance Triathlon Arizona – Tempe: Fast Course, Ideal for PRs

Swim – 2.4 Miles (Tempe Town Lake)
One-loop swim in Tempe Town Lake, with calm, controlled waters
Floating dock entry and exit near Tempe Boat Rentals
Average water temperature: 61°F (16°C)

Bike – 112 Miles (Fast, Scenic, Three Loops)
Starts at Tempe Beach Park, heading through the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community
Gradual climb along Beeline Highway, with a turnaround at Shea Boulevard
Fast course with smooth roads and stunning desert views

Run – 26.2 Miles (Flat, Three Loops, PR-Friendly)
Scenic, flat course along Tempe Town Lake
Passes through Papago Park for a unique desert landscape
Multiple spectator points, finishing at Rio Salado Parkway with a crowd of supporters.

About the 36-WK FULL DIST ADVANCED TRIATHLON PLAN

- Base Phase: A 12-week foundational training phase, gradually increasing from 6 to 9.5 hours per week, culminating in a brick test session.

- Full DIST Phase: A 24-week program geared towards peak performance, with weekly training hours escalating from 10 to 18, including designated race windows for "B" and "C" events.
