Ready to chase your first Full Distance Triathlon finish in one of the world’s most breathtaking locations?
Our Six-Month Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is built just for you — the first-timer with big dreams and the determination to cross that finish line in Langkawi, Malaysia. From the warm, non-wetsuit swim to the lush, hilly bike course and tropical run along the coast, this plan prepares you for every step of the journey — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
🔑 Prerequisite Fitness: Before starting, you should be able to:
Swim 2.5km comfortably
Ride at least 45 miles
Run continuously for 60 minutes
That’s your foundation. From there, we’ll build the endurance, confidence, and grit you need to go the full distance
Here’s how we prepare you for Langkawi’s unique challenges:
✅ Swim Smart in Warm Waters
Langkawi’s 3.8km open-water swim is non-wetsuit and 28°C (82°F). Our plan helps you adapt with form-focused drills, heat-tolerance strategies, and open-water video tutorials to boost technique and calm pre-race nerves.
✅ Crush the Climbs on the Bike
The 180km course features over 1,500m of elevation, including steep climbs past Langkawi Falls. Our intervals and beginner-friendly strength sessions help you develop power, endurance, and confidence.
✅ Master the Tropical Marathon
With a flat two-loop run along Cenang Beach and the airport, the heat and humidity will test your pacing and hydration. You’ll train with purpose — dialing in your race-day nutrition, pacing, and mental focus for a strong finish.
