The Florida Full Distance Triathlon is flat, fast, and deceptively demanding—testing your stamina through crystal-clear Gulf waters, quiet forest highways, and sun-soaked beachfront roads. Our 36-week Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is specifically designed to prepare you for every challenge on this iconic course.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or crossing your first finish line, this plan delivers a complete, proven approach to build endurance, sharpen performance, and ensure race-day success.

✅ Swim-Ready for Gulf Waters
Prepare for ocean conditions with progressive swim workouts, video-based drills, and open-water simulation sessions—perfect for handling currents, riptides, and the beach-run transition.

✅ Bike Power for Fast, Flat Roads
Tackle the 112-mile bike course with advanced interval training, power-based sessions, and long steady rides that mirror the terrain of Pine Log State Forest. Perfect your aero position for sustained speed on race day.

✅ Run Strong on Flat Terrain
Master the marathon with structured pacing, race-specific long runs, and brick workouts that mimic the two-loop beachfront run. You’ll build the durability and mental toughness needed for a strong finish at Pier Park.

✅ Smart Periodization for Peak Performance

Base Phase (12 weeks): Build your aerobic engine with 6–9.5 hours per week and a key brick test to track progress.

Race Phase (24 weeks): Scale up to 18 hours weekly, strategically placing “B” and “C” races to sharpen fitness and confidence.
