With its crystal-clear ocean swim, fast aero-friendly bike course, and flat, crowd-filled beachfront run, this race is built for speed—but only if you're fully prepared. Our Six-Month Advanced Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is designed specifically for seasoned triathletes like you who are ready to level up and race strong from start to finish.

But let’s be clear: this plan is not for beginners. You must have a solid aerobic base before jumping in. We kick things off with a demanding 25-minute Anaerobic Threshold session in Week One—so be ready. Over the next 24 weeks, you'll build from 10.5 hours/week to a peak of about 18 hours/week of highly structured training.

Here’s how this plan prepares you for the Florida Full Distance Triathlon:

✅ Swim-Specific Workouts: Open water sessions + video-based drills develop stroke efficiency and prepare you for potential currents, riptides, and wildlife around Russel-Fields Pier.

✅ Aerodynamic Bike Focus: Long flat training rides and Heart Rate/Power-based intervals help you master sustained aero positioning—key to crushing the fast, one-loop bike course through Pine Log State Forest.

✅ Flat Run Optimization: High-volume aerobic runs and VO2 max intervals train your legs for the relentless, pancake-flat two-loop run down Front Beach Road, where mental toughness and pacing are everything.

✅ Progressive Brick Sessions: Sharpen your bike-to-run transitions so you're not just finishing—you’re flying.

✅ Targeted Strength & Explosive Power: Build resilience and prevent injury with detailed video strength workouts and ATP-PC sprint sessions.
