From your first swim stroke to the final steps of the marathon, this plan is designed with you—the beginner triathlete—in mind. You don’t need prior experience—just the desire to try, grow, and finish strong.
🏊♀️ Swim-Ready Confidence
If open water makes you nervous, you’re not alone. Our first 12 weeks focus on building a solid swim foundation with easy-to-follow video tutorials, stroke drills, and confidence-building open-water techniques. You'll gradually build endurance for the 3.8 km Mediterranean swim at Calella Beach, all while getting used to warm (72°F / 22°C), calm ocean conditions.
🚴 Bike Strength for Scenic Speed
The 180.2 km ride along Spain’s stunning coastline can feel daunting—but you’ll train for it step by step. Through steady weekly progression, you’ll develop the leg strength, pacing skills, and wind-handling ability you need for this mostly flat, fast course. Beginner-friendly brick workouts (bike + run) will prepare your body and mind for smooth transitions.
🏃 Run Smart, Finish Strong
Don’t worry if the idea of a marathon sounds overwhelming. You’ll gradually build up to the 42.2 km run with walk/run strategies, pace-based sessions, and supportive mental training tools. We’ll help you discover your natural rhythm while preparing you for a flat, crowd-supported route through Calella and Pineda de Mar.

We start slow—just 4.5 hours of training in Week 1—so your body can adapt safely and steadily. Each week adds just enough to challenge you without burning you out. By the peak phase, you’ll be training up to 14.5 hours/week—strong, capable, and ready for race day.

Learning how to transition between swim, bike, and run is a key part of triathlon. Our plan includes simple brick workouts that simulate race day, so nothing will feel unfamiliar when it matters most.
