The Full Distance Triathlon Gurye Korea offers a stunning but complex course: a 3.9 km swim in Guman Reservoir, a 180 km bike through mountainous terrain and hot spring villages, and a 42.2 km run along shaded streamside paths. Success here isn’t just about endurance — it requires strategic preparation, specific adaptation, and measured execution.

This 36-week Advanced Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is designed with those demands in mind. It blends scientific structure with performance precision — giving you the tools to race smarter, not just harder.

🔍 Phase 1: Foundational Base (Weeks 1–12)
✔ Weekly volume increases from 6 to 9.5 hours
✔ Focus on aerobic development, muscular endurance, and energy efficiency
✔ Ends with a brick test to validate base fitness
🧠 Why it matters: Gurye’s long bike and run demand aerobic durability and muscular resilience.

🔍 Phase 2: Full Distance Build & Peak (Weeks 13–36)
✔ Volume increases to 18 hours/week, with built-in recovery and race-specific tapering
