The Full Distance Triathlon in Wales – Pembrokeshire is not your average race. With a cold-water sea swim, relentless hills through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and a punishing, four-loop marathon through Tenby’s historic town center—this course exposes every weakness and rewards only the most prepared.

Our 24-week Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan isn’t about crossing the finish line—it’s about racing with purpose, precision, and resilience. It’s built for advanced triathletes who understand that performance at this level requires more than just logging hours—it requires strategy, specificity, and critical adaptation.

This isn’t generic base training. From week one you’ll develop the muscular endurance and mental discipline required for over 2,600 meters of climbing.

Progressive aerobic base training forms the foundation—allowing your body to handle high volume without breaking down. The ramp from 10.5 to 18 training hours is deliberate, preparing you for the long demands of race day without risking burnout.

✅ Cold-Water Swim Preparation
Targeted open-water swim sessions simulate the 63°F (17°C) sea swim in Tenby. Coupled with instructional drill videos, you'll sharpen technique and cold-water acclimatization for a confident, efficient start.

✅ Integrated Intensity Management
Includes V̇O₂ Max, Anaerobic Threshold, and ATP-PC workouts—carefully periodized to push limits without compromising recovery. Every interval has a purpose, tied to specific race-day demands.

✅ Run Mechanics & Transition Mastery
With AI-powered run gait analysis and progressive brick sessions, you’ll not only move better, but transition faster—critical in a course where mental fatigue builds across four run loops.
