The Maryland Full Distance Triathlon offers a breathtaking yet demanding course, and our 36-week beginner plan is designed to prepare you for every mile, every challenge, and every victory.

🌊 Swim with Confidence in the Choptank River
You’ll begin with 12 weeks of technique-focused swim training, complete with easy-to-follow video tutorials that teach open-water skills and build your confidence in tidal waters. When you step into the calm currents of Zach’s Bay and sight the Chesapeake Bay Lighthouse, you’ll feel ready, not nervous.

🚴 Build Strength for the Scenic Eastern Shore Bike Course
With two laps through Dorchester County and the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, the Maryland bike course is flat and steady—ideal for new triathletes. Our plan gradually increases volume from 7.5 to 14.5 hours per week, incorporating long rides and brick sessions that condition your legs for the 112-mile journey.

🏃 Run Strong in the Heart of Cambridge
The final 26.2 miles of your Full Distance Triathlon are lined with cheering spectators and rich history. You’ll train with purposeful long runs, tempo sessions, and race-paced workouts that teach your body and mind how to stay focused through each loop past High Street and Annie Oakley’s house.
