With its calm lake swim, hilly bike terrain, and rolling multi-lap run, the Leeds course challenges both endurance and strategy. Our 36-week Full Distance Triathlon Advanced Training Plan is designed to meet those demands—step by step—so you show up confident, prepared, and ready to perform.

✅ Tailored for the Leeds Course

🏊 Swim-Ready: Targeted swim sessions simulate the 3.8 km lake swim in Waterloo Lake, emphasizing pacing, form, and endurance over two continuous laps—no exit between.

🚴 Climb Stronger: With over 2,500 m of elevation gain, the bike course demands power and resilience. This plan builds climbing capacity with structured hill intervals and anaerobic power blocks, perfect for tackling sections like Black Hill Road.

🏃 Run with Confidence: The four-lap, undulating marathon route through Roundhay Park and past Millennium Square is mirrored in your training with multi-loop long runs, brick sessions, and terrain-specific workouts.

🛠️ Plan Structure That Builds Peak Fitness

Base Phase (12 weeks): Build a solid aerobic foundation with gradual volume progression from 6 to 9.5 hours per week, including a critical brick test to assess early fitness.
