The Full Distance Triathlon Lake Placid offers one of the most iconic and demanding race experiences in North America. You'll face a 2.4-mile swim in the pristine Mirror Lake, a challenging 112-mile bike course through the Adirondacks with 8,000 feet of elevation, and a marathon featuring rolling terrain and village energy. Cool July temperatures (63–72°F / 17–22°C) and breathtaking scenery make it memorable—but also physically and mentally rigorous.
Our Six-Month Intermediate Full Distance Triathlon Training Plan is engineered specifically to meet the demands of this unique event. Whether it's the swim, the high-speed Keene descent, or the climbs like Papa Bear Hill, this structured plan prepares you for each segment—terrain, elevation, pacing, and fatigue.
