Racing the Full Distance Triathlon in Frankfurt, Germany, means preparing for one of Europe’s most iconic endurance events. With a swim start at Langer Waldsee, a challenging and scenic 180 km bike through the German countryside, and a fast, flat marathon course along the Main River, success on race day demands more than just determination—it requires smart, progressive training.
Our 36-Week Full Distance Triathlon Intermediate Training Plan is strategically designed to match the demands of Frankfurt’s unique course profile and race conditions. Backed by years of coaching experience and performance data, this plan targets key performance factors specific to this event’s terrain and format.
✅ Phase 1: 12-Week Base Training
Build foundational aerobic endurance from scratch—no prior base miles needed
