Full-distance triathlon rewards the athlete who still moves well at hour ten.
12 weeks. Off-season maintenance. Built to hold fitness between training blocks.
The gap between a good race and a bad one is rarely fitness. It is almost always durability.
How This Plan WorksSwim sessions use RPE and pace. Bike sessions are structured by power, giving a precise and repeatable effort target regardless of conditions. Run sessions use heart rate to regulate effort and keep the easy work genuinely easy.
Training prioritises durability over volume. The capacity to hold stroke, cadence, and running form after hours of accumulated fatigue is built deliberately across the block. Intensity is used sparingly and with clear intent. Strength work stays in the plan from first week to last.
Is This Plan For You?This plan is built for a particular kind of athlete.- Athletes coming off a race or a structured training block
- Athletes who want to hold fitness without the load of a full build
- Athletes who want enough structure to stay sharp, with enough recovery to let the body settle
Before you start: you should be comfortable swimming 1,500m, riding 60 minutes and running 45 minutes. Not all on the same day.
What's Included- Email support from the coach who built the plan, for the duration of the plan
- 12-week self-guided training programme delivered through TrainingPeaks
- Structured workouts that sync to your Garmin, Wahoo, or compatible device
- Not the right fit? I will swap it for another plan, any time, no quibble
About the CoachI came to triathlon after an elite Tae-Kwon-Do career, national titles and a European silver among them. I knew how to train hard. What I found when I moved to triathlon was fifteen years of following proven plans, hiring expert coaches, and racing worse for it. I hit a wall. Not a physical one. An architectural one.
Sense Endurance Coaching was built to kill that cycle.
I'm Trisutto and 80/20 Endurance certified, and worked with Brett Sutton through his Coach the Coach programme.
That shaped how I build training: no junk miles, no grey zone, sessions built around the hours an athlete actually has rather than the idealised week that never happens in practice.
