Plan Description

The Full Distance Triathlon Nice France begins with a two-loop 3.8 km (2.4 mile) swim at the Plage des Ponchettes in front of the Quai des Etats-Unis, with water temperatures averaging 75°F (24°C).

The challenging one-loop 180.2 km (112 mile) bike course takes athletes through the stunning hinterland of Nice and the Parc Naturel des PréAlpes d’Azur. The course includes the hill of Pugets, featuring a 9 km climb at an average slope of 3.3%, with segments between 10% and 15%. At kilometer 26, athletes will climb the Col de l'Ecre via the Gorges du Loup. The route continues to the plateaus of Caille and Thorenc, passing through scenic landscapes and villages, with a notable personal aid station at Andon, kilometer 80. The descent to Gréolières is notable for its cinematic beauty.

The event concludes with a rolling four-loop 42.2 km (26.2 mile) run along the Promenade des Anglais, from Nice Airport to the finish line near the beach. Runners should prepare for average air temperatures of 82°F (28°C).
