Plan Description

The FULL DISTANCE triathlon in Hamburg, Germany kicks off with a spectacular 3.8 km (2.4 mile) swim in the very heart of Hamburg, starting at the iconic Jungfernstieg and gliding through the scenic Inner and Outer Alster, with water temperatures averaging a comfortable 70ยฐF (21ยฐC).

Next, athletes tackle a 178 km bike course consisting of two loops that showcase Hamburg's best sights. Beginning in the bustling city center, cyclists will speed past the vibrant Reeperbahn, the historic fish market, and the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt, before heading out into the picturesque Vier- und Marschlande.

The grand finale is a thrilling four-loop, 42.2 km (26.2 mile) run through downtown Hamburg. With the average air temperature around a pleasant 73ยฐF (23ยฐC), this race promises to be a memorable and exhilarating event.

Commencing with 4.5 hours in the inaugural week and culminating in a maximum of 8 hours by week 11, the program crescendos with a rigorous brick endurance challenge in week 12.

Commencing with a modest 8.5-hour commitment in the initial week, you'll progress to a dynamic 16-hour weekly pinnacle, with strategically placed race windows for your "B" and "C" events.
