Plan Description

FULL DISTANCE TRIATHLON HAMBURG GERMANY

Swim Course (3.8 km/2.4 miles) - the one-lap swim course takes you through the Inner and Outer Alster, with an average water temperature of 70°F (21°C). This picturesque setting offers a perfect start to your race.

Bike Course (178 km)
The bike course consists of two loops that start from Hamburg's bustling city center. Cycle past iconic landmarks like the Reeperbahn, the fish market, and the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt. The route then extends into the scenic Vier- und Marschlande. Known for its fast and flat profile, this course is ideal for achieving personal bests.

Run Course (42.2 km/26.2 miles) - The final leg of the triathlon is a four-loop marathon through downtown Hamburg. The run course takes you along the western bank of the Alster and through key city areas, including Gänsemarkt, Jungfernstieg, and Rathausmarkt. With an average air temperature of 73°F (23°C), the conditions are perfect for a great finish.

Before starting our SIX (6) MONTH Full DIST training plan, you should have a basic fitness foundation. Ensure you can swim 2.5 kilometers, cycle at least 45 miles, and run continuously for 60 minutes.

Our training plan follows a 3/1 structure, balancing three weeks of focused training with one week of active recovery. It's the perfect blend to push your limits while preventing burnout.

In the initial stages, you'll concentrate on building strength, enhancing base endurance, and perfecting your swim technique. Dive into our swim training segments with detailed instructions, including an introduction to V02 Interval Training. Start with 7.5 hours of training in your first week, gradually ramping up to a maximum of 14 hours per week.
