Plan Description
FULL DIST TRIATHLON Australia - Port Macquarie, New South Wales
Swim Course (3.8 km) A rolling start at Westport Park in the calm waters of the Hastings River. Athletes swim north, pass under the Park Street bridge, cross a weir, then turn back south to return to Westport Park.
Bike Course (180 km): The bike course features two loops followed by a southern lap. Cyclists head west on Hastings River Drive, take a short detour on Winery Drive to Cassegrain Wines, then ride north over the Pacific Highway through scenic landscapes. After completing the two loops, they continue south on Hastings River Drive, facing rolling hills and ocean views, including a loop around Tacking Point Lighthouse and Lake Cathie. The final challenge is the climb up Matthew Flinders Drive before returning to Westport Park.
Run Course (42.2 km): The four-lap run course begins by heading east, passing the finish line and Town Beach, then running along Kooloonbung Creek and looping back at Settlement Point Road. Runners enjoy local support and scenic views, ending with a final stretch on the famous red carpet at Town Green, where they are declared IRONMAN finishers.
