FULL DIST TRIATHLON New Zealand

SWIM - You'll embark on a 3.8km journey in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Taupล, with a refreshing temperature of approximately 19 degrees Celsius (64 degrees Fahrenheit). The deep-water mass start adds an extra thrill as participants set off on a clockwise course, mirroring the stunning shoreline.

BIKE - A two-lap, 180km course that winds through the picturesque rural surroundings of Taupล. Spectators cheer on participants as they navigate undulating terrain, showcasing the natural beauty of the region. The route immerses athletes and onlookers alike in the heart of the countryside, creating a distinctive and engaging experience.

RUN - A four-lap, 42.2km course, guiding athletes through the vibrant heart of town. With enthusiastic spectators creating a lively atmosphere, participants pass through the town four times, experiencing a blend of urban and natural scenery. Extending to Rainbow Bay, the course treats athletes to stunning lakefront views, serving as inspiration during the marathon distance. Maintaining an average air temperature of 70ยฐF (21ยฐC) throughout the event, FULL IRON New Zealand provides ideal racing conditions.

About The SIX-MONTH ADVANCED Full DIST TRIATHLON Plan

A word of caution: Prerequisite training or base mileage is non-negotiable. This is not a plan for beginners. We repeat, ATTEMPT this program only after having first developed your base Aerobic System. Our Full DIST plan kicks off with a challenging 25-minute Anaerobic Threshold Interval Training session in week one. Are you up for the challenge? During this 24-week journey, you'll gradually ramp up your training from just under 10.5hrs in the first week to a peak of approximately 18hrs per week. That's dedication!
