Ironman Build Up Training Schedule
Training Phase : General Preparation
Type of Periodisation : Linear with 4 days intensive Blocks (Friday to Monday)
Type of Athlete : Committed - Experienced Triathlete with busy weeks that can spend more time on Triathlon Training during the Weekends
Experinced Needed : At least 3-4 years of Triathlon Training
Risk of Injury : Minmal
Choose this training schedule :
1. If you have a basic swimming technique and your pace in 400 meters ois less than 2 minutes per 100 meters.
2. You know how to do interval training at the running track and you have a proper running technique.
3. You like to follow a well structured training program
4. You want to maximise your performance results in a minimum training time
5. You have at least a 2 years training experience
6. There is a plateau in your performance or you want to increase the rate of improvement.
