What Can you Expect from the Training Program?

Achieving Performance Readiness:

The Programs are designed with volume and training targets to help the triathlete achieve and maximize what we call "Performance Readiness" which makes up 3 primary variables.

Conservative Program Volume and Training Expectations

Our expert coaches designed the program and updates it yearly in accordance with the referenced athlete category and objectives and with the volume and training program objectives listed above. Additionally, the program guides athletes to meet the following milestones:

• The program incorporates 10 average swim, bike and run training hours and includes a functional strength periodization plan.
• The program builds to peak at two big training weekends in where one of those weekends the triathlete completes 65% to 70% of the IRONMAN Bike and Run combination across two consecutive weekend days.
• There's 6 weeks of "Base" followed by 14 weeks of "Build" before 5 weeks of "Peak" including tapering.
• The longest swim is 90 minutes, the longest bike is 100 miles and the longest run is 3 hours.
• Many workouts are by duration with prescribed intensity and the precise distance achieve is athlete and intensity defined. Some workouts are prescribed by distance.
• Volume is 80-85% Aerobic and 15-20% threshold.
• There's a recovery week every 4 weeks and Field Testing workouts are every 6 weeks.


What Do You Need to Execute the Program?

• If you have a bike, including indoor cycling options, an option to swim indoors, a place to run indoors or outdoors, you have enough to execute the program.
• Some bike workouts are power based. However, although power meters are recommended they are not required in order to execute the program.
• If you do not have a power meter on your bike we provide a tutorial on steps you can take to conduct field testing and execute workouts by perceived effort.
• If you live in an area that has inclement weather through the fall and winter, we provide a tutorial on create an indoor cycling plan to get you through training.
• Treadmill recommended run workouts can be adapted to run outside, or executed at any local facility.


What Can you Expect from Coach Communication?

Over 5 Hours of Coach Lead Video Tutorials:
• All Video Tutorials are assessable via links to a cloud on-demand private cloud system.
• The triathlete is guided through the T3 system with video tutorials on everything from quick start guidance, field testing execution and updates, swimming workout proficiency and execution, performance console usage, TrainingPeaks usage and more.

Unlimited Coach Communication:
You are provided the email of the coach that designed the system and may send unlimited inquiries or feedback and receive a response within 24 hours. Also please remember to share your email at checkout.

• General questions about the training program, workouts in the program or the accompanying resources to the program and how to use them.
• General feedback about the T3 training system.
• Triathletes may also request a 1 hour Zoom session at a deeply discounted consultation fee.
