Plan Description

The Half Distance Triathlon in Los Cabos is defined by warm water, exposed terrain, and steady heat. From the swim in Palmilla Bay to the rolling Transpeninsular Highway and a two-lap run through San José del Cabo, this course rewards athletes who prepare with structure and intent.

Why Train With Purpose for Los Cabos?

The 1.2-mile swim takes place in warm (≈84°F / 29°C), typically non-wetsuit conditions, requiring efficient pacing and control. The 56-mile bike includes fast sections, rolling terrain, and elevation changes. The 13.1-mile run unfolds over two laps in a warm, dry climate (≈83°F / 28°C), where pacing discipline is critical.

This plan prepares you to manage each segment with consistency so race day becomes execution, not adjustment.
